HJPC as an Inheritance of One Dialogue About Judiciary

In April 2002, the then High Representative, Wolfgang Petritsch, made a decision to suspend the appointment and extension of the mandate for judges and prosecutors, until the reorganization of the judiciary in Bosnia and Herzegovina takes place. With the former endeavours to find a solution for the amendments of the laws valid at the time, and through the forming of the different commissions, breakthrough advancements have not come, and the professionals were considerably criticising the international community in Bosnia and Herzegovina for ignoring the offered solutions. A month later, just before he left the country, Petritsch made the decision about the Law on High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
