Call for organizations to join Initiative for monitoring the European integration of BiH
We invite you to join Initiative for monitoring the European integration of BiH. This initiative is an informal coalition of civil society organizations which aims to monitor reforms and applications of policy and law of the European Union in the process of European integration.
Thus, the goal of the Initiative is to be transparent, and to, in competent, impartial and nonpartisan manner, monitor the process of European integration. We want to effectively monitor the work of government throughout and to constantly inform domestic and international public about all the positive and negative developments in the integration process. The initiative recognizes the need for connectivity and empowerment of civil society organizations who work on promotion and protection of human rights and on promotion of EU integration at local and national level.
Therefore, we invite your organization to participate in the making of a paper on one of the following topics:
– Democracy and the rule of law (the Constitution, the functioning of parliament, government, public administration, Obdusman, the judicial system-reform of the judiciary, impartiality, independence, accountability, efficiency of the judiciary, anti-corruption-laws and strategies);
– Human rights and protection of minorities (respect for international human rights law, civil and political rights, access to justice, capital punishment, prisons, freedom of expression, association, opinion, religion, civil society organizations, women’s rights, gender equality, children’s rights, anti -discrimination, policy, labor rights, property rights, rights of socially vulnerable, protection of minorities, Roma, refugees);
– Regional issues, international obligations, bilateral relations (CoE convention, the DPA, ICTY, ICC, Sarajevo Declaration Process, Cooperation with Albania, Croatia, FYR Macedonia, Serbia, Kosovo, Turkey).
Papers will be published periodically and your organization may be involved as a partner organization in the development of a Shadow report, which will be promote activities of your organization to the general public aw well as to relevant international and domestic institutions.
