On the 28th of April 2015, members of the Initiative for Monitoring the European Integration of BiH held a meeting with representatives of EU Delegation and the representatives of embassies whose countries are member states of EU and who have a residence office in BiH.

Following topics were discussed: the new EU initiative – general way ahead, development of reform agenda for BiH to be able to submit a membership application, involvement of CSOs in development and implementation of the EU Initiative, Progress Report 2015, Structured Dialog on Justice and many other topics.

Members of the Initiative have expressed concern that reforms will be only declarative obligation for the responsible stakeholders. Reason for that is the fact that civil society organizations, media or academic community will not participate in drafting documents and suggestions for social-economic reforms.

Although CSOs will not be directly included in process of drafting reform agenda, EU Delegation in BiH promised that in one part of process we will be invited to participate in consultations related to preparation and implementation of the reform agenda. The clear message from the meeting was that the fight for human rights cannot be excluded from reform agenda. Members of the Initiative will work on recommendations that guarantee rule of law and the protection of human rights.

During the May 2015 representatives of IMF, World Bank, European Union, as well as all the other relevant international representatives will hold a meeting with the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH and with the Prime Ministers of both entities. They will develop and finalize priorities from Compact for Growth and Jobs in BiH on these meetings.

Official BiH Progress Report 2015 will be published on the 14th October 2015.
